HOW TO BOOK

The Festival will be held at both ACMI Cinemas, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Federation Square, Flinders Street, Melbourne and the Classic Cinema, 9 Gordon Street, Elsternwick.

Tickets for both venues can be purchased by phone (through the ACMI Cinemas' Festival Bookings Line) on (03) 8663 2222, or in person at the ACMI Tickets & Information Desk, located on Level 1 - entry level.

Single session tickets for sessions at the Classic Cinema may also be purchased at the Classic Cinema itself, but only on the day of the session.

Although the Gold Pass is valid for sessions held at both ACMI Cinemas and the Classic Cinema (Gold Pass patrons may choose sessions at both Festival venues on the one Gold Pass, if they wish), it can only be purchased by phone (through the ACMI Cinemas' Festival Bookings Line), or in person at ACMI Cinemas - but not at the Classic Cinema.

Please note: only Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards will be accepted by ACMI for all Festival ticket purchases.

Festival sessions at ACMI Cinemas will be held in Cinema 2 (Entry via the Federation Square Plaza or the Arcade from Flinders Street). Festival sessions at the Classic Cinema will be held in Cinema 1.

Credit card telephone bookings for all Festival sessions at both venues will commence at 10.00 am on Wednesday 28 October, and will continue between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm on each weekday (Monday to Friday) thereafter (excluding Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 3 November).

All telephone credit card ticket bookings will be forwarded to Festival-goers by post. If time does not permit postage, arrangements will be made for patrons to collect their tickets at ACMI Tickets & Information Desk, or alternatively, at the Classic Cinema.

A booking fee of $1.30 (incl. GST) per ticket, plus a handling and postage charge of $3.50 (incl. GST), or an express-post charge of $6.00 (incl. GST), per transaction will apply.

If patrons have any queries about their creditcard telephone bookings, or have not received their tickets in good time before their first selected session, please phone (03) 8663 2222.

Advance ticket sales for all Festival sessions at both venues will be available from the ACMI Tickets & Information Desk, from 10.00 am Wednesday 28 October, and will continue on each day thereafter during Festival ticket-office hours from 10.00 am until 15 minutes after the start of the last Festival screening at ACMI, and from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm on all other days when there are no Festival screenings.

Car Parking at ACMI:

Federation Square Car Park. Tel (03) 9224 0301. Enter from Russell Street or Batman Ave (Exhibition Street extension). A special discounted parking rate of $7.00 (incl. GST) is available for entry after 4.00 pm Monday to Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. To receive this discount please collect a validation ticket from the ACMI Tickets & Information desk and redeem it by inserting your standard car park ticket followed by the validation ticket at any of the parking pay machines.

Door sales for sessions held at the Classic Cinema will be available from the Classic Cinema itself from 2.00 pm on the day of the session only.

Patrons wishing to purchase a Gold Pass for sessions at the Classic Cinema may only do so by phone or in person at ACMI.

Telephone bookings and/or credit card purchases cannot be accepted at the Classic Cinema. Ticket sales will be by cash only at the Classic Cinema. Ticket sales for sessions held at ACMI Cinemas are not available from the Classic Cinema.

Please Note:

Festival-goers are advised to arrive in good time for Festival screenings if they wish to purchase or collect their Festival tickets on the day.

All Festival tickets, once purchased, are not refundable and cannot be exchanged.

Please do not bring large bags, briefcases, laptops, backpacks, shopping bags, etc., with you as these cannot be stored at the cinemas.

Patrons who wish to purchase their Festival tickets at ACMI are encouraged to complete a Festival Booking Form for multiple ticket purchases, including Gold Passes. Download booking form.

Dates, times and programmes are correct at the time of publication, but they may need to be altered because of circumstances beyond our control. We therefore reluctantly reserve the right to withdraw, change and replace programmes without prior notice
